10-File Versioning

You can always "Go back in time" to retrieve up to 10 previous versions of any file you selected for backup, for up to 30 days (whichever occurs first).

Whether you (or someone else) accidentally deleted, changed, or corrupted a file, with just a few clicks of a mouse, easily select from up to 10 versions of that file to restore it exactly the way it was saved on a particular date, up to 30 days ago. A great day-to-day file recovery tool when making changes to important files.

If you have files that have not changed in 30 days, our backup system stores the most recent version as long as it is selected in the backup view.

File Restore Options

Finished selecting files to retrieve? Click view backup software screen Retrieve Options and you will be given 3 choices:

  1. Show most recent versions of all files (default setting)
    Shows the latest backup of every file you have on your system.
  2. Show files that were on my system on (mm/dd/yy)
    Type a date to list all the versions of files (up to 10) backed up on that date.
  3. Show all versions of all files
    • lists the 10 most recent versions of every file backed up within 30 days
    • lists any files that you deleted in the last 30 days

Immediate File Restores: Save time & IT support costs!

  1. Employee Sabotage or Mistakes
    Employees can accidentally or purposely change, manipulate, corrupt or delete your mission critical data (and/or your backups). Your data is protected by a high level of security. No one will be able to delete your backups ... not even if they have your encryption key, and nobody can delete any of your data off our servers.
  2. Protect Remote Sales Info
    If you assign computers to your remote or mobile work forces, you will be able to restore any files that have been changed or deleted in the last 30 days. You don't even need the computer itself to get the data back -- just use Remote File Access to restore the data whenever and wherever you want.
  3. Recover from Virus Corruption
    Restore your data or entire system to exactly the way it was before it became corrupted.
  4. Restore accidentally changed or deleted files
    It is easy to accidentally delete or overwrite an existing file without noticing for some time. Remote Data Backups can easily go back to 10 previous versions of any presentation, graphic, or other data file.
  5. Recover Corrupted Outlook files
    If a Microsoft Outlook .PST file reaches 2 GB, Outlook will crash. Microsoft's "2 GB cropping tool", may "fix" the file, but the file will not be editable. Remote Data Backups' File Versioning can restore your PST file so you can edit it and reduce its size.
